Hasbro CSP | Website
Overview
Working on Hasbro's Content Services Portal (CSP) website has been a comprehensive and rewarding experience, marked by continuous involvement in development, design, and user experience (UX) enhancement. This project has allowed me to take on various roles, significantly contributing to the website's success and ongoing improvements.
Role and Responsibilities
User Experience Design
As the User Experience Designer for Hasbro’s CSP website, I structured, led, and executed the user experience development process. This involved:
Research and Analysis: Conducting user research to understand the needs and pain points of different user groups.
Wireframing and Prototyping: Developing wireframes and interactive prototypes to visualize and test design concepts.
User Testing: Organizing and conducting usability tests to gather feedback and iterate on designs, ensuring an intuitive and efficient user experience.
Design Implementation: Collaborating closely with the development team to implement design changes and enhancements based on user feedback.
Development and Technical Support
My role extended beyond UX design to include significant contributions to backend development and daily technical support:
Backend Development: Working on the backend architecture to ensure the system's reliability, scalability, and performance. This included database management, server-side logic, and integration with other Hasbro systems.
Troubleshooting: Addressing and resolving technical issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure a smooth user experience.
Analytics: Implementing and analyzing web analytics to monitor usage patterns, identify areas for improvement, and measure the effectiveness of changes.
Technical Support: Providing ongoing technical support to users, helping them navigate the system, and addressing any issues they encounter.
Continuous Improvement
A key aspect of my involvement was the continuous improvement of the CSP website. This was achieved through:
User Outreach: Regularly reaching out to users to gather feedback and insights, ensuring their needs were being met and identifying opportunities for enhancement.
Iterative Design and Development: Adopting an iterative approach to design and development, allowing for regular updates and improvements based on user feedback and emerging requirements.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, content management, and IT, to align the CSP with broader business goals and strategies.
Impact
Through my structured approach to user experience design and comprehensive involvement in technical development and support, the Hasbro CSP website has seen significant improvements in usability, functionality, and user satisfaction. The iterative process of user feedback and continuous enhancement has ensured that the system remains aligned with user needs and business objectives, ultimately contributing to Hasbro’s efficiency and productivity in managing digital assets.
